These are a perfect alternative to a traditional thimble - if you're done with your thimble slipping off at the worst possible moment and feel like your finger needs to breathe.
The small heart-shaped pads stick directly to your fingertip with a strong 3M adhesive backing and stay there for the whole sewing session and then some.
No thimble to hunt for. No sweaty finger. Just a layer of protection exactly where you need it.
The heart shape is doing more work than you'd think. It's cute, yes - but it's also functional. The two lobes of the heart allow the pad to flex naturally when applied to the side of a finger, conforming to the curve without bunching. And that downward point at the bottom? Perfect for getting a fingernail underneath when you want to peel it off cleanly after use.
Fabulous for any kind of repetitive sewing where you need to get through some layers.
I tried them out while hand quilting with 12wt thread - wonderful. I usually wear a hole in my leather thimble whilst quilting, so that won't be happening anymore.
Each pad is die-cut and ready to use. Peel from the backing sheet and apply to a clean, dry finger. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

It is a great thread to hand sew with. It doesn't kink, tangle or knot as you go. Smooth and feels quite luxurious. Will be hard to go to another thread to hand sew with after this.

Love this Comptoir de Toile in rich burgundy and mustard. I’ll use this fabric for cross stitch then make it into a bag. It’s the perfect weight for embroidery, bag making and patchwork and the colour is really beautiful.
