Second Chance - Liberty Tana Lawn

When I look back at the various Liberty collections that have released in the last few years - the Karel Martens collaboration with Liberty and the Futur collection curated by Federico Forquet has to be up there in some of my faves.

So different to the traditional Liberty floral offerings - we were given stripes, checks and fabulous eye catching designs.

It was met with cautious curiosity but the Elements stripes had me at the word go.

So you can imagine my excitement when I got the chance to do a restock of some of my faves - together with some that I missed in the first offering.

If you've read my blog post - Give Your Quilt the Wow Factor, I chatted about contrast - Contrast in Colour, Contrast in Pattern, Contrast in Scale. These fabrics give you all of this and more.

Shadow Stripe A, C and D

Shadow Stripe was one that I missed out on. Sometimes when you're picking fabrics from tiny swatches or small tiles on the screen, the fabulous-ness of a fabric isn't always apparent.

Shadow Stripe is one of them - available in three beautiful colourways, it's one of those designs that shouts at you - pick me !! It gives you endless possibilities - garment making, quilt binding, backings, fussy cutting. The list goes on.

However  Chain… oh my - that has my heart.

I stocked the brighter green version  - Chain C, when the collection first released and somehow I missed it's more subtle brother - Chain B.

It’s such a beautiful design that it’s honestly got me itching to start sewing for myself — possibly a top if I can carve some time out. Or should I make something from the brighter green version?

You know that feeling when a fabric just calls to you? This one does exactly that.

I also somehow missed Hexagon C in the first release - maybe the colours weren't speaking to me then?

Everything is now listed on the Liberty Tana Lawn collection page and ready to explore - fabulous colour palettes, inspiring designs - everything that Liberty does best.

Take a look and enjoy !!

Mel x
